Quality is meeting customer requirements, expectations and requirements and is free from defects, shortages and substantial variations. Standards need to be followed to meet customer requirements.

What is Assurance?

Assurance is provided by organization management, this means giving a positive announcement on a product that gains confidence for the result. This gives a security that the product will work without any glitches as per expectations or requests.

What is Quality Assurance?

Quality assurance is known as quality assurancr (QA) and focuses on preventing defects. Quality assurance ensures that approaches, techniques, methods and processes are implemented correctly for projects.
Quality assurance activities see and verify that the procedures used to manage and build deliverables have been followed and are operative.
Quality assurance is an active process and prevention in nature. It recognizes the drawbacks of the process. Quality assurance has to be completed before quality control (QC).

What is Control?

The control is to test or verify the actual results by comparing them with the defined standards.

What is Quality Control?

Quality control is known as Quality control(QC) and focuses on identifying a defect. QC ensures that the approaches, techniques, methods and processes formulated in the project are following correctly. QC activities monitor and verify that project deliverables meet the defined quality standards.

Quality control is a reactive process and detection in nature. It recognizes defects. Quality control has to be completed after the quality assurance.


What is The Difference in QA/QC?

Many people think that QA and QC are the same and interchangeable but this is not true. The two are tightly connected and sometimes differences are very difficult to identify. The facts are both related to each other but they differ in origin. Both QA and QC are part of quality management although QA is focusing on preventing defects while QC is focusing on identifying defects.
